Kamakura Goro's Hangetsu cookies have a satisfying crunch, and the sweet and tart apple flavor is refreshing without being too rich, which left a strong impression! The caramel sandwich cookies exclusive to Haneda Airport were an even bigger surprise. The crisp cookies are paired with a rich filling of nuts and caramel chocolate, creating a deliciously rich, layered texture. Both are beautifully packaged and delicious souvenirs.

Kiyoken is a legendary Yokohama shop with a century of history, and the defining feature of its signature bite-sized shumai is that they're still extremely delicious even when cold! The shumai are specially made with carefully selected domestic pork and scallops. They're small and delicate, just the right size for one bite. The savory meat juices blend with the rich sweetness of the scallops, giving them a firm, springy texture and a distinctive taste of the sea. In addition to the classic original flavor, the shop often offers special scallop, Berkshire pork, and seasonal varieties. Its signature shumai bento, served with bamboo shoots and pickles, is one of the most iconic old-fashioned foods of Japanese train travel!

A popular souvenir that my Japanese coworkers like to buy~ Crisp layers of pastry are filled with a rich filling, then covered with a thin layer of chocolate. With each bite, the crisp, fragrant pastry blends with the rich chocolate, creating an extremely layered texture. There are plenty of flavors, including strawberry, lemon, pistachio, and hazelnut, and they often sell out in no time.

At Nagasaki Penguin Aquarium, you can see lots of adorable penguins all at once. Its biggest feature is the unique "Penguin Beach," where you can watch penguins swimming freely in the natural coastal waters. The aquarium also offers plenty of interactive experiences, such as up-close feeding, touching, and outdoor penguin walks, making it a great place for the whole family to experience the charm of marine life!

It's located on the slope you pass after visiting Glover Garden and Oura Cathedral. The shop is small and charming, with a warm and cute atmosphere. The pudding here is made with high-quality local ingredients and has a smooth texture and rich milky flavor. It's a great place to stop during a stroll, pick up a small snack to satisfy a craving, take a short break, and recharge!

Sky Bus Tokyo is an open-top, double-decker sightseeing bus for experiencing Tokyo's attractions. The routes center around Tokyo Station and pass political and economic landmarks such as the Imperial Palace and the National Diet Building, travel through the bustling districts of Ginza and Nihonbashi, and offer close-up views looking up at Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Skytree. If you choose the Odaiba or night-view route, the bus also travels across Rainbow Bridge, offering beautiful views of Tokyo Bay and the city at night. It's a great way to quickly take in the classic sights!

Oura Catholic Church is a Gothic-style Catholic church with white walls in Nagasaki. It is also Japan's oldest wooden Western-style building and is designated a National Treasure. Its most distinctive feature is its blend of Eastern and Western architectural styles, along with the elegantly colored stained-glass windows inside. It is also a sacred site that witnessed the historic miracle known as the “Discovery of the Hidden Christians” in Japan. During my visit, I could feel the solemn, tranquil atmosphere. Sunlight shining through the beautiful stained glass created an interplay of light and shadow that made me feel especially peaceful, and I was deeply moved by the profound history of this World Heritage site.

I accompanied my family while they browsed the Pokémon Center. The biggest highlight here is Ogaki Bookstore, which combines books with a curated selection of goods. The space is bright and spacious, and in addition to books, it offers many carefully selected Kyoto-made creative goods and quality souvenirs. It's a great place to stroll around and browse at your own pace.

Champon is personally one of my favorite dishes. Its biggest feature is the generous amount of vegetables, with cabbage, bean sprouts, and other vegetables served with pork, seafood, and springy noodles. It's filling and has plenty of variety. Fried foods are common in Japanese cuisine, and if they start to feel a little heavy after eating too much, champon is a very good alternative. It's a steaming bowl of noodles with lots of vegetables and flavors that don't feel too heavy.
