This is something I always have to grab whenever I go shopping at Japanese supermarkets.
Oji Ogiya
This 300-year-old shop is even mentioned in the rakugo story “Ouji no Kitsune.” The thick egg omelets served here are carefully made with a mix of egg and dashi and cooked made to order by the talented chefs. The ingredients and cooking techniques have been carefully passed down through the generations.
I absolutely love tamagoyaki! After trying it in Japan, I just can't stop thinking about it!
Chanko Tomoji
A veteran chankonabe restaurant that was established in 1969 in Ryogoku, the area of sumo wrestlers. Made with generous amounts of more than 17 types of ingredients such as fresh meat, seafood, and vegetables, its hearty chanko is gaining popularity.
This was so unique! It was my first time trying fugu (pufferfish)!
SOBAHOUSE Konjiki Hototogisu
Just in front of Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden and steps from Tokyo Metro’s Shinjuku-Gyoenmae Station you’ll find this ramen shop tucked inside a refined and tranquil interior.
The ramen here is super tasty! Can't wait to come back on my next trip.
Ramen KASEN
Located near Jiyugaoka station, we are a ramen&tsukemen restaurant. Our No.1 popular dish is Chinese vegetable noodle with extra 350g veggies. Five different soups are provided for our customers to choose from: slat, miso, spicy, Dandan-style and garlic chive spicy. Salt flavour is the most popular one. We provide a high-volume meal, but you won’t get tired of it with our special soup.
The ramen is packed with veggies and the broth is super fresh and flavorful! I’ll definitely order this again next time.

This is Japan’s first ever zoo, founded in 1882. Despite its urban setting in the heart of Tokyo, it still keeps a lush, natural environment as well as about 2,500 different animal friends of some 300 different species.
Definitely a great place to visit! The kids didn't want to leave at all.
