I recently tried Ezaki Glico's Almond Koka drink. From the first sip, it tasted quite distinctive, with a light almond aroma. It was smooth and not too heavy. I don't usually drink many almond-based beverages, so I was a little curious at first. After trying it, I found the flavor more natural than I expected, and the sweetness was just right.

What I liked most was its rich, smooth texture. The almond aroma gradually unfolds, and it's especially refreshing when served cold. It's a nice little snack drink to have while working or taking a break in the afternoon, and it also feels like an energy boost.

Overall, I think its most distinctive feature is the noticeable almond flavor without being too rich. People who like nuts and almond-based drinks will probably really enjoy it.

Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan is one of the attractions in Osaka that's well worth adding to your itinerary. Before even going inside, I was drawn in by the enormous building. The aquarium is very large, and as you slowly follow the route downward, you can see marine life from all over the world. The whole visit was very interesting.

What I was looking forward to most was seeing the whale sharks in the huge tank. They leisurely swam around, and it was truly impressive when they passed right beside me. Besides the whale sharks, there were also rays, penguins, sea lions, and other marine animals. Seeing all kinds of marine life up close was very soothing.

I really liked the overall atmosphere of Kaiyukan. The lighting is dim, and together with the blue glow from the tanks, walking through the aquarium feels like entering an underwater world. There are also plenty of good photo spots along the way, and before I knew it, I had spent quite a while exploring.
Kobe Harborland

Kobe Harborland, lined with multiple large scale multi-facility complexes, is the name of the area by the coast covering approximately 18.5 Hectares. One of the commercial complexes, “Kobe Brick Warehouse, HARBOR STORES”, was originally a cargo warehouse built in the late 1890s.

When visiting Kobe, I think Kobe Harborland is a great place for shopping and taking a walk. This area is close to Kobe Port and is surrounded by shopping centers, restaurants, and entertainment facilities. The overall atmosphere is both relaxed and lively, making it a good place to spend half a day exploring at a leisurely pace.

What attracted me most when I entered Kobe Harborland was the large shopping complexes and wide variety of stores. They have everything from household goods and clothing to food, so there are plenty of shopping options. You can eat while browsing and stop whenever something catches your eye, so it never feels boring.

The harbor scenery here is also beautiful. When the weather is nice, you can walk along the waterfront and enjoy expansive ocean views and the Kobe cityscape. Shopping at a relaxed pace during the day and then enjoying the sea breeze by the harbor in the evening feels especially pleasant.

Overall, Kobe Harborland is a leisure destination that combines shopping, food, and harbor views. Rather than simply rushing from one attraction to another, I prefer this kind of itinerary where I can slow down and browse at my own pace. I'd like to include it in my plans again the next time I visit Kobe!

Nagatanien Ochazuke Nori is one of my favorite convenient foods to bring home from Japan. The simple package contains ochazuke seasoning powder, nori, and a few small toppings. Just looking at it gives you a taste of Japanese home cooking.

It’s really easy to prepare. Just make a bowl of steaming white rice, pour the seasoning packet over it, and add hot water. The aroma of the nori gradually spreads, and the whole bowl looks light and appetizing.

I like to add a little salmon, pork floss, or umeboshi for more layers of flavor. The light, savory tea broth goes well with the nori flavor. It isn’t too heavy, which makes it perfect for a simple meal.

When I’m busy or don’t really feel like cooking, I can just grab a packet and quickly make a meal. It’s really convenient! A hot bowl of ochazuke is also especially comforting in cold weather. It’s a small item that’s well worth adding to your Japan shopping list.
