Nanki Shirahama Fireworks Festival
A festival of glittering fireworks over the summer skies of Nanki Shirahama.
This premier fireworks event can be found at Shirarahama, one of the most pristine beaches in Kansai. Expect some 2,500 different fireworks to launch.
Shirarahama is a white sand beach stretching about 620 meters. Its crescent shape ensures a beautiful view of the fireworks from any spot you pick along the shore.
One special perk is the “Message Fireworks” on selected Saturdays in July and August, held by the Shirahama Onsen Ryokan Cooperative Association. For only 9,000 yen per firework, guests can send a message to someone special, via dedicated broadcast over the beach speakers and FM radio just before the firework is launched, lighting up the night sky of Shirarahama.
