Orandaya “Rakkasei (Peanut) pie”
A variety of confections originating in Chiba using peanuts and other carefully selected ingredients await you.
Specialty of Chiba Prefecture
Orandaya is a confectionery store born and raised in Chiba. Currently, there are more than 40 direct sales stores, all within Chiba Prefecture. Since its establishment, the company has been committed to the spirit of "delivering the real taste." Their products are made with the best peanuts, sweet potatoes, pumpkins, strawberries, and other crops grown in Chiba's warm climate and fertile land. For safety and peace of mind, Orandaya uses as few preservatives as possible and keeps the sugar content low so as not to spoil the flavor of the ingredients.
Orandaya has a full variety of Japanese and Western-style desserts. Among them, we strongly recommend the "Rakkasei Pie (Peanut Pie)" (172 yen per piece). The inside of the pie is a bean paste with locally produced sweetly simmered peanuts. The mellow sweetness of the bean paste and crispy, savory dough creates the perfect harmony. The dough uses a lavish amount of fermented butter imported from the Netherlands, which gives it an exceptionally pure flavor. Rakkasei Pie is ideal as an accompaniment to coffee, tea, or even Japanese tea.
Other popular items include the “Rakkasei Monaka” (151 yen per piece), with its cute peanut shape, and the seasonal “Rakkasei Duckwards” (151 yen per piece), characterized by its soft dough. All of these Chiba local sweets that make great gifts are also available at various online malls.
The most popular product is the “Rakkasei Pie.”
Well known for its elaborate selection of both Japanese and Western-style.
All products are rich in local ingredients from Chiba.
