Hakone no Ichi

This souvenir store is located right next to the automatic ticket gate of Hakone-Yumoto Station on the Hakone Tozan Railway. They sell countless unique items from Hakone, starting from typical local souvenirs like onsen-manju (stuffed buns made in hot spring towns) and traditional marquetry craft works, as well as famous hotel food products like sweets and salad dressings. Other popular items are fish cakes and dried seafood from nearby Odawara City.

Many items from the original mascot of the Hakone Tozan Railways called Noboriyama Tetsumichi kun are stocked here. These charming items in a variety of colors include children socks, T-shirts, and towels, all very popular among the family tourists.

Since Hakone Yumoto Station is the starting base station of the Limited Express Romancecar train bound for Shinjuku, they offer many unique lunch boxes (ekiben) and drinks for your train ride. About 40 kinds of their special ekiben are sold here, including the shop’s limited selections, seasonal menu lunch boxes, and more. Be sure to check these before getting on the train.

They stay open as late as 8 pm, making it very convenient and time efficient for you to choose nice souvenirs after a long sightseeing day.
