Last update :

A small Japanese restaurant in an old machiya (townhouse) in the Shimogamo Shrine area. The restaurant has a good reputation for its Obanzai (traditional Japanese dishes) using plenty of pesticide-free vegetables grown in Ohara, Kyoto.

Lunch is available in two types: "Rororo Hako Bento (Rororo Boxed lunchbox)" and "Mini kaiseki," which must be reserved by the day before, and is limited to 30 servings in total.
The "Rororo Hako Bento" is served in a two-tiered box, with the first tier containing eight Obanzai dishes of the day on a bean dish, and the second tier containing two main dishes and freshly cooked rice in an earthenware pot. The savory earthenware pot rice can be refilled at any time as you please. The menu changes semi-monthly, so you can enjoy the season of the day. 2-tier bento comes with one dish and a sweet treat.

Dinner, available only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, is a three-course kaiseki meal. The system allows you to choose your favorite dishes according to the number of dishes you have selected. The charm of this restaurant is that you can enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine at a reasonable price according to your appetite and mood of the day.
