Naha Kokusai-dori Shopping Street

Naha City Kokusai-dori Shopping Street is located in the center of Naha City and is the main street representing Okinawa.
It is the largest downtown area in Naha City and is famous as the center of commerce and entertainment. It is known as "Kokusai-dori (International street)," based on the concept of "a people-friendly town and a town that is fun to walk through.

The 1.6-km street is lined with about 600 stores, including restaurants, souvenir stores, department stores, cafes, general merchandise stores, and hotels, and is crowded with many tourists from home and abroad.
Every Sunday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, the street becomes a car-free zone, with open cafes and various other events held along the way.

The street is dotted with tourist information centers as well as coin lockers and currency exchange offices. As the gateway to sightseeing in Naha, it is worth a visit.
