Yojiya Shijo Kawaramachi Store

Opened in February 2025 in Kyoto’s bustling Kawaramachi district—one of the city’s top shopping and sightseeing areas—this new-concept store brings together the beloved Yojiya skincare brand, best known for its iconic oil blotting papers, and a relaxing café space, following in the footsteps of its Sagano Arashiyama and Kiyomizu locations.

The front of the shop showcases a wide range of Yojiya items, including their signature blotting papers and skincare products, offering a well-stocked selection for shoppers. In the back, a cozy café area invites guests to unwind—whether popping in for a break while shopping or browsing for souvenirs after enjoying a meal.

The café features a diverse menu, including 19 types of fresh pasta, alongside parfaits, desserts, and drinks. The standout dish is the café-exclusive “Yojinese – Bolognese with Melted Cheese by Yojiko”, a rich bolognese topped with hot cheese fondue poured tableside by staff—a theatrical and indulgent experience first popularized at the Arashiyama location.
Also not to be missed are the photogenic desserts decorated with Yojiya’s iconic logo—so charming they almost feel too beautiful to eat.
