Inokoya Yamagatada

Directly connected to JR Yamagata Station, Inokoya Yamagatada is a Japanese-style izakaya on the first floor of Kajo Central. Here, you can enjoy Yamagata local cuisine and local sake. It is known for seasonal dishes prepared by a chef from Yamagata.

The signature dish is imoni. Served in a mini irori-style pot inspired by the traditional autumn imoni gatherings of Yamagata, this dish has earned a strong reputation. Premium Yonezawa beef is also available in approachable options such as skewers. Another draw is being able to enjoy top-quality beef at reasonable prices. There are four course options in total. In addition to dishes made with seasonal Yamagata ingredients, some courses feature shabu-shabu or Yonezawa beef rib roast steak as the main dish. The drink selection includes a wide range of famous local sake from across the prefecture, along with local shochu and Yamagata wine, all perfect with Yamagata regional cuisine.

The interior has a calm atmosphere. Many sunken kotatsu-style seating areas are available. There are also tables, counter seats, and semi-private rooms. It works well for a variety of occasions.
