A restaurant where you can enjoy Ryuzaki Onsen and the flavors of Suo-Oshima at the same time.
Ryuzaki Onsen Chidori is a restaurant in Suo-Oshima Town, Oshima District, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Located next to the day-use hot spring facility Shiokaze no Yu, it lets you enjoy both a hot spring bath and a meal in one visit. The restaurant serves a wide variety of dishes made with seasonal ingredients from Suo-Oshima.
One of its signature dishes is kamameshi made with grilled conger eel. The menu also features a wide selection, including fresh seafood set meals and Setouchi ramen, iriko soba. In winter, the limited-season Mikan Nabe Gozen is especially popular. Mikan nabe, which uses whole mandarins in the hot pot, is made with a special broth flavored with mikan kosho. From the open-air bath at the attached day-use hot spring facility, you can take in sweeping views of the mountains and sea. The same facility also has a souvenir corner and a rest area.
