The restaurant offers a wide-ranging menu, from casual set meals that let you easily enjoy the flavors of a famous establishment to full-fledged courses. The top recommendation is a luxurious course that lets you fully savor Shimonoseki’s two signature specialties, live squid in summer and fugu in winter. Both are carefully handled for freshness and preparation, then served in peak condition through professional skill. Squid prepared while still alive is exceptional for its transparency, pleasantly firm texture, and melting sweetness. Fugu is known for its delicate, refined umami and is delicious however you enjoy it, whether as sashimi or in a hot pot. There is also a full lineup of à la carte dishes, including fugu shumai and fried fugu, as well as Yamaguchi specialty kawara soba.

The interior is spacious, with a wide variety of private rooms, including table seating and sunken kotatsu-style seating. Live jazz performances are also held during lunchtime on Mondays.
