Toyama Bay Shokudo MAROOT Branch
A casual eatery where you can enjoy seafood rice bowls and set meals made with fresh-caught fish from Toyama Bay, paired with local sake.
Toyama Bay Shokudo MAROOT Branch serves set meals made with seasonal seafood and local Toyama sake. Located on the 1st floor of MAROOT, a commercial complex about a 1-minute walk from JR Toyama Station, it uses a food-court style system. Buy a meal ticket, then pick up your order when your ticket number appears on the monitor inside.
The menu mainly features dishes made with seafood caught that morning. In addition to nigiri sushi and seafood rice bowls, you can enjoy sashimi, grilled fish set meals, and boat-shaped sashimi platters. There are also limited lunch sets and menu items featuring Toyama specialties such as white shrimp sashimi, tempura, and nigiri sushi. A wide selection of alcoholic drinks is available as well, including sake, beer, and shochu. Since the fresh fish shop Uohiro is attached, you can also bring sashimi and other items from the showcase into the restaurant to enjoy.
The spacious interior has 56 seats in total, including table seating and counter seating. It's easy to visit even with a group. There is also a live fish tank and aquarium inside, where you can see a variety of fish caught in Toyama Bay.
