Kitokito Ichiba Toya Marche
Toyama’s proudly made specialties, local products, and local gourmet foods all in one place.
This souvenir and local gourmet spot is in a prime location with excellent access from JR Toyama Station and Ainokaze Toyama Railway Toyama Station. Around 38 shops are gathered here, including specialty stores for famous Toyama sweets and masu sushi, a beloved local dish, as well as delicacies such as white shrimp and firefly squid, known as jewels of Toyama Bay, and traditional crafts.
There are also casual dining spots where you can enjoy Toyama favorites, including the famous "white shrimp tempura rice bowl," known for drawing long lines, conveyor-belt sushi, Toyama Black ramen, shops carrying local sake from breweries across Toyama Prefecture, and regional cuisine. The takeout selection is also excellent, with items perfect for enjoying on the shinkansen ride home from Toyama, such as wappa rice made with Toyama’s prized mountain and sea produce, "sasa-zushi," which carries on the tradition of Kanazawa’s festival sushi culture, and Fukui’s famous grilled mackerel sushi.
Inside the facility, the rest area "Susheen" also features the "Sushi Bench," a symbol of Toyama’s identity as a sushi destination.
The wide passageways are also popular for making shopping easy, even with strollers or wheelchairs. It’s a must-visit spot for finding Toyama souvenirs.
