A relaxing spot in a convenient location, just a 3-minute walk from Itako Station on the JR Kashima Line.

Across its expansive grounds of Approx. 1.3 hectares, colorful flowers bloom in abundance, and the beauty of its approx. 1 million irises from around 500 varieties is truly exceptional. The best time to see them is usually June 10, and the Suigo Itako Ayame Festival is held for about one month before and after that date.

This event is a seasonal tradition that marks the arrival of early summer in the area. During the festival, the garden is filled with brilliant irises in white, purple, and yellow, while visitors can also enjoy the "Yomeiri-bune," a boat procession recreating a traditional local wedding, as well as performances of the iris-themed "Ayame Odori" dance.

In addition to irises, you can also enjoy seasonal flowers throughout the year, including cherry blossoms (from late March to early April), wisteria (from mid-April to around late April), and hydrangeas (from early June to early July), making it well worth visiting in every season.
