A sightseeing ropeway connecting Mount Daishi, which rises on the east side of the Kinosaki Onsen town. It takes Approx. 7 minutes to travel from Onsenji Station at the foot of the mountain to the middle station and the summit station, and along the way you can enjoy panoramic views stretching across the Kinosaki hot spring town, the Maruyama River, and all the way to the Sea of Japan. One of its charms is the scenery that changes with the seasons, from fresh greenery in spring and colorful leaves in fall to snowy landscapes in winter.

At the middle station, you can stop by the main hall of Onsenji Temple, known as the guardian temple of Kinosaki Onsen, and enjoy a relaxed visit while taking in its history. At the summit, the spacious panoramic observation deck offers sweeping views over the hot spring town, and on clear days you can even see all the way to the Sea of Japan. Next to the deck, kawarake throwing lets you try your luck by tossing unglazed clay plates at a target, making it a fun way to create travel memories.

The summit station is home to Miharashi Terrace Cafe, a perfect place to take a break while enjoying the view. Many visitors pair the ropeway with a tour of Kinosaki’s public bathhouses, adding a special moment to enjoy the scenery from above between walks around town.
