Kobe Kitano Nosta
Enjoy Kobe cuisine in a nostalgic space renovated from a former elementary school.
Located north of central Kobe, the Kitano area is home to many historic buildings, led by the Ijinkan district. In one corner of this charming, international-feeling neighborhood, a popular stop for Kobe sightseeing, Kobe Kitano Nosta is a dining complex where visitors can enjoy Kobe cuisine, opened in November 2024.
The building was constructed in 1931 and renovated from the former Kitano Elementary School, which is now closed. With chandeliers, stained glass, and other pieces from its school days still found throughout, the space has a nostalgic atmosphere.
NOSTA CAFE, located in the center of the first floor, serves its signature pancake sandwiches, sweets made by an in-house pastry chef, and more than 50 kinds of drinks. Kitano Grill&Bar, a dining restaurant that occupies the entire second floor, is known for its vegetable buffet with a wide variety of fresh vegetables and grilled dishes made with Kobe ingredients. Other appealing shops, including a sweets shop, bakery, and sake shop, come together here, making it a great place to enjoy carefully crafted local flavors.
