My stay at Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk was very comfortable overall. The room was clean and had a relaxing amount of space.

The room was neat, and the bed was also very comfortable. After a full day out, I could return to the hotel, get some proper rest, and recharge. The overall atmosphere makes it a great place to schedule a relaxing night during a trip.

Bayside Place Hakata

A lively waterfront complex facing Hakata Pier, bringing together an open seaside atmosphere and a wide range of attractions. Inside the spacious, glass-walled buildings, you’ll find restaurants and cafés with ocean views, a market selling fresh seafood and local vegetables, and a variety of shops.

I visited Bayside Place Hakata this time, but since my schedule was tight, I didn’t have much time to take photos. I could only take a quick walk around and briefly experience the atmosphere of the area.

Although I didn’t properly capture the scenery this time, I could still feel the laid-back atmosphere around the harbor, which was somewhat different from the liveliness of downtown.

With 26 courses and 34 lifts, this is the largest snow resort in Japan. The big slope is made up of 6 areas with an array of courses for beginners and the advanced. The quality of snow is so good that skiers and snowboarders flock here seeking for the fluffy powder snow.

I finally had the chance to try skiing at Zao Onsen Ski Resort. It was my first time on the snow, and from being cautious at first to slowly finding my balance, every run felt fresh and challenging.
Standing on the snow-covered slope with a silvery-white world all around me, I skied downhill through the frigid air, feeling both nervous and excited. Even though I fell a few times, I couldn’t help getting back up again and again to keep trying.

Venture to the mouth of the Abashiri River where fishing boats come and go past majestic views of Shiretoko Peninsula and the Sea of Okhotsk to find Michi-no-Eki Ryuhyo-Kaido Abashiri, a prime destination. Inside you’ll find a full-fledged tourist information center and rest area, making it an ideal place to get everything you need before heading out on a trip. During winter you can even join the many who use this as a departure point for the drift ice sightseeing icebreaker ship "Aurora”.

Michi-no-Eki Ryuhyo-Kaido Abashiri is located in Abashiri, Hokkaido, and is a great roadside station to stop at for a break and a look around during a trip. It’s filled with local character from Abashiri and the Sea of Okhotsk, and you can also enjoy views of the surrounding sea. The atmosphere is very pleasant!

This hot springs village sits along the same river that waters the rice paddies between the northern mountains of Aso. The entire hot springs area is designed seamlessly with nature, with each hilltop inn and connecting halls a separate annex that attaches to the next mountain hill.

I spent a night at Kurokawa Onsen in Kumamoto. Outside the window, the stream flowed gently by, white steam slowly rose from the hot spring baths, and lush mountain forests surrounded the area, making the entire town feel peaceful and laid-back. Strolling around in a yukata and taking in the unique atmosphere of the hot spring town felt very pleasant.

At the Butter Butler TOKYO GIFT PALETTE store, all the sweets looked very delicate, and this time I specifically bought some cookies to try. As soon as I opened the package, I could smell the rich buttery aroma, which made me look forward to trying them just from the smell alone.

When visiting Kouri Island in Okinawa, Kouri Ocean Tower is a great place to enjoy the island scenery. Along the road to the tower, you're surrounded by the deep blue sea and lush island landscapes, so you can already feel the strong island atmosphere before even going up the tower.
From the observation deck, Kouri Bridge and the vast ocean come into view. The blue water sparkles in the sunlight, with islands in the distance creating a wide-open view. Taking in the beautiful scenery with the sea breeze makes you feel Okinawa's relaxed and comfortable pace of travel.

This facility introduces and sells Nishijin textiles, a traditional industry of Kyoto. Nishijin Textile, a general term for Sakizome (prior dying of thread before the cloth is woven) for figured cloth produced in Kyoto (Nishijin). It is designated as a traditional national craft.

In Kyoto's Nishijin district, the old textile center building retains a strong vintage style that is understated yet distinctive. Looking at it up close, you can see the traces left by time and imagine the days when Nishijin textiles flourished.

Although I only passed by and admired it from outside this time without staying long, the classical architecture complements the Nishijin area's deep-rooted textile culture and gave me a better understanding of the development of Kyoto's traditional crafts.

Starting in 1695, Rikugien was constructed over 7 years as a Japanese garden of undulating scenery. Designed in the Kaiyushiki style, it features strolling paths around ponds and hills. It is designated by the Japanese government as a Special Place of Scenic Beauty.

I made a special trip to Rikugien Gardens while in Tokyo to see the cherry blossoms. As soon as I entered the garden, I was drawn in by the spring atmosphere. Strolling slowly along the paths, I could enjoy views of the cherry blossoms from different angles.

The garden scenery at Rikugien is beautiful. The cherry blossoms, ponds, trees, and traditional Japanese landscaping together really capture the feeling of spring in Japan. I took photos as I walked, and every angle was perfect for preserving the memories.

SOU-SOU is a textile design brand born in Kyoto. When visiting Kyoto, SOU・SOU always makes you want to stop and look. Its vivid colors and Japanese-style patterns are the brand's most appealing features. From clothing and socks to household goods, you can see unique and thoughtful designs everywhere.

The store is filled with all kinds of products, especially its signature tabi socks, which are distinctive and practical. I couldn't help picking out a few things to take home.
