The first time I walked into Tenryu-ji Temple, what surprised me most was the tranquility of the garden. Sitting beside Sogen Pond and taking it all in, the mountain scenery, pond, and old temple buildings blended together, giving it a true Kyoto feel. It was especially beautiful during cherry blossom season, when the soft pink flowers decorated the ancient temple grounds. The whole scene felt gentle and romantic, making it hard to stop taking photos. It was also a great place to slow down and experience Kyoto's Zen atmosphere.
