There are 7 exhibition galleries and a collection of over 110,000 art-related books in its Art Information and Media Center. The Museum also hosts a variety of workshops for children and adults in its studios.
From modern and contemporary art to photography, various themed exhibitions are hosted here, with a global perspective that reflects the international port of Yokohama.
Besides works by Dalí, Magritte, and Cézanne, this museum possesses works by artists who are associated with Yokohama.
The museum shop sells about 1,000 items, including original goods.
There is also a café where drinks and desserts can be enjoyed inside or taken out.

*From March of 2021, the Museum will be closed long-term for renovations.

  • From Picasso to Yoshitomo Nara, this museum possesses various works, ranging from paintings to Photographs, 100 to 200 of which are regularly exhibited.
  • The beautiful stonework exterior and expansive 20-meter-high entrance atrium are attractive.
  • It is also the venue for the Yokohama Triennale, an international modern art exhibition held once every 3 years.
  • The museum shop sells original items, stationery and books about the works in its collections.
  • In addition to displaying art, the museum café serves special items on the menu inspired by the exhibitions.
