Last update :

The Naruko Gorge has a 100m deep cliff that stretches for about 2.5km. Sharp white cliffs are covered with deciduous broadleaf trees such as maples and oak, and in autumn these trees turn red and yellow, creating a beautiful scene like a painting.

When you cross the "Ofukazawa Bridge" that spans Naruko Gorge, you can fully enjoy the height of the gorge and the surrounding scenery. It's a thrilling and romantic viewpoint, and if the timing is right, you can also watch a train crossing the Naruko Gorge! In front of the parking lot of the "Naruko Gorge Rest House" is an observation deck, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view and take powerful photos. The "Naruko Gorge Rest House" is also a good place to stop by as you can buy meals and souvenirs, and it is also the starting point of the promenade.

There is a 2.2km long promenade from the rest house to the entrance on the Ofukazawa Bridge side, which you can walk around in about 50 minutes. The promenade is paved and has little difference in height, making it an easy walk for a casual trekking experience.
