Located within the headquarters of Ichiran, this is the main store of the renowned ramen chain which is not only present all over Japan, but also overseas, in places like New York, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Among the many famous tonkotsu ramen shops in Fukuoka, Ichiran is particularly popular.

The ramen offered here is one kind only, "Natural Tonkotsu Ramen". The soup has been carefully prepared to remove the specific smell and gaminess that can accompany pork bone broth, combined with special homemade noodles. Since its establishment in Showa 35 (1960), the store has continued its research and pursuit of the perfect bowl of ramen. One of the flavor highlights is the "Red Secret Sauce", a blend of chili pepper and over 30 other seasonings. This can be ordered with a spice level ranging from "no sauce" to 20 times the normal heat level (up to 10 times the heat level is free of charge).

Ichiran is also known for introducing unique systems. The "flavor-concentrated counter", which is partitioned off to create a private-like space where customers can focus on enjoying their ramen, is a popular feature and is said to be one of the reasons the shop attracts many female customers. The ordering system allows you to customize your bowl of ramen based on seven criteria, including noodle hardness and flavor strength. The order forms are available in English and Chinese. The system for ordering extra noodles is convenient; simply place the plate on the button at the back of your table and order without making a sound.
