Mandarake Complex
A mega-store where you’re sure to find hidden treasures, packed with anime, manga, and subculture collectibles.
Mandarake is a nationwide chain specializing in buying and selling anime, manga, and subculture-related items, and this massive flagship store is its crown jewel. With its jet-black exterior and striking crimson signage, the building stands out as a landmark in the area. Between the 1st to the 8th floor, every level is dedicated to retail space. Each floor is filled with a range of items-from JPA (Japanese Pop Antiques) and vintage Showa-era goods to doujinshi, animation cels, Japanese and international toys, manga, anime merchandise, video games, stickers, cards, and more. The store brims with rare collector’s items and unique treasures that Mandarake itself has discovered and assigned value to, and many of which can only be found here.
On the first floor, there’s a buying counter where you can bring in items. Just one or a whole collection (ID required). Experienced and knowledgeable staff evaluate each item carefully, considering not only its condition but also its historical context, current trends, and market demand. No matter the amount, payment is made on the spot.
