Henri Charpentier Tokyo Gift Palette Shop
A Long-Established Confectionery Shop from Ashiya, Hyogo, Known for Baked Sweets Made with Almonds Ground In-House
Henri Charpentier is a confectionery brand founded in Ashiya, Hyogo, in 1969. It is known for its baked sweets and fresh cakes. The brand also has a shop at TOKYO GIFT PALETTE in Tokyo Station.
The signature product is the Financier. Two types of California almonds are imported whole and ground in-house just before being mixed into the batter, bringing out their rich aroma. The outside is crisp and fragrant, while the inside is moist. Its distinctive flavor comes from the combination of almonds and pre-fermented butter made with milk from the Nemuro and Kushiro regions of Hokkaido. Another popular item is the fresh cake Napoléon Pie. It features pastry made with honey and coated with white chocolate, combined with custard cream that is not too sweet and sweet-tart strawberries. It is available exclusively at the Tokyo Gift Palette Shop and Tokyo Station Gransta Shop.
The shop is takeout only. It also offers online pre-ordering and in-store pickup. Located just outside the Yaesu North Exit ticket gate of Tokyo Station, it is easy to stop by while traveling.
