Patisserie KIHACHI TOKYO GIFT PALETTE
A Patisserie Born from Restaurant Desserts.
Patisserie KIHACHI is a confectionery brand that grew out of the desserts served at KIHACHI, the restaurant Kihachi Kumagai opened in 1987. Its TOKYO GIFT PALETTE shop offers fresh cakes and baked sweets made with seasonal ingredients.
Its signature product is KIHACHI Trifle Roll®. Five kinds of fruit-strawberries, bananas, kiwi, papaya, and mango-are rolled in a moist, fluffy sponge with diplomat cream (custard lightened with whipped cream) and Chantilly cream (sweetened whipped cream). For gifts, there is KIHACHI Butter Butter Butter Pie. Made with Hokkaido butter and Japanese wheat, the layered pastry is rolled with Okinawan brown sugar and coarsely chopped almonds, then baked until fragrant. The range also includes seasonal fresh cakes, baumkuchen (a layered cake), and many other sweets.
Although compact, the shop has an open layout that lets you see the cakes and sweets from the walkway. With everything from fresh sweets to packaged varieties that keep well, it is a handy place to pick up souvenirs for friends, family, or yourself.
