Walking into the subtropical forest thick with ferns, you're surrounded by greenery and the feeling of nature. Bios no Oka isn't very large, but it's extremely neat and has a strong Japanese garden style. You can also see many beautiful flowers along the way, making it especially pleasant for a walk.

The cutest part is the small animals in the park. There are goats that love eating radishes, as well as cows leisurely grazing nearby. Just watching them feels relaxing. There's also a large, lush green lawn in the center with swings where you can play like a kid〜 There aren't too many noisy crowds, so you can walk slowly, take your time looking around, and enjoy a leisurely time surrounded by greenery.

If you're visiting northern Okinawa, I highly recommend making time for Higashi Village Fureai Hirugi Park! This well-maintained nature park has a nicely developed walking path leading from the parking lot, with views of the mangrove forest and river mouth along the way.

The path is about 335 meters one way, and there are observation decks where you can see the mangrove ecosystem up close. At low tide, you can also spot small creatures on the mudflats, making it a fun place to experience nature.

The park is peaceful and also has restrooms, tables, and chairs. It's a great place to take a walk with children and teach them about nature. Compared with popular tourist attractions, it feels more relaxed and tranquil. I really enjoyed spending time traveling so close to nature.

The former foreign residences here have been renovated into cute little retro shops. The old houses and colorful streetscape give the whole place a vibe a bit like Taiwan’s cultural and creative parks. It’s a great place to slow down, stroll around, and discover unique little shops. There are clothing boutiques, cafes, specialty coffee bean shops, drink shops, and even a camper van rental company run by people from Hong Kong. Every shop has its own style, so there are plenty of pleasant surprises just from wandering around. However, it gets quite hot on sunny summer days, and there isn’t much shade in the neighborhood. I recommend stopping for coffee or dessert and taking a break before continuing to explore. It’ll be much more comfortable that way.

It’s also fairly convenient to get here by car, with paid parking available in the neighborhood, though some shops don’t have their own parking spaces. Also, most shops don’t have restrooms, so I recommend using one before coming and taking your time exploring. Overall, it’s a great place to spend about 1–2 hours taking a leisurely walk, snapping photos, having a cup of coffee, and experiencing a different side of Okinawa’s laid-back lifestyle.

One of the classic must-visit spots when you come to Okinawa! Manzamo is known for its vast cobalt-blue ocean and spectacular cliffs. Looking out at the sea from the grassy plateau, the entire view is truly soothing.

The park's walking paths are very well designed, and the safety measures along the way are excellent, making it easy and worry-free to walk around. Admission is only JPY 100. For such a small fee, you get to enjoy such a beautiful ocean view, so it's really worth it!

We were incredibly lucky on the day we visited and had perfectly clear weather. The sky was deep blue, the sunlight sparkled on the ocean, and the water was so clear that we couldn't stop taking pictures. Just sitting here, enjoying the sea breeze and looking at the ocean without doing anything felt especially relaxing. This is the kind of blue ocean scenery that summer in Okinawa is all about.

An ocean-view pizza place you shouldn't miss in Okinawa. It's located high on a hillside, and while dining here, you can look down over a vast stretch of blue ocean. The view is truly beautiful, and it's worth the trip just for the scenery. The pizza only comes in two sizes, M and L, and the simple flavors are delicious. The crust is baked to just the right crispness, and paired with the rich, flavorful cheese, every bite is satisfying and makes you want to keep eating. The pizza crust is distinctive, and it tastes quite good. Combined with the unbeatable ocean view outside the window, the overall dining atmosphere is very comfortable. If you're looking for a place in Okinawa where you can see the ocean, eat pizza, and leisurely unwind, **Pizza Cafe Kajinhou is really worth adding to your itinerary!

The beach was already beautiful during the day, but we were even luckier this time and caught an incredibly beautiful sunset. The sun slowly sank into the horizon, turning the sky a golden orange, while the surface of the ocean shimmered. The whole view was so beautiful that we didn’t want to leave.

We hadn’t planned anything special, but unexpectedly got to see a gorgeous Okinawa sunset. The most unforgettable moments while traveling are often these perfectly timed strokes of luck.

It’s about a 20-minute drive south from Naha Airport. Since it’s so close to the airport, it’s a great place to visit at the end of your trip!

This is Okinawa’s first outlet mall. It covers a large area and has tons of popular brands. The whole place is very comfortable to walk around, and the shopping was much better than expected. Besides shopping, there are also plenty of restaurants and food options, so whenever you get tired, you can find somewhere to sit down and eat.

We specifically chose to come in the evening. We took our time shopping in the pleasant evening breeze and had dinner while we were there. It wasn’t as hot as during the day, which made the experience more relaxing and comfortable.

As soon as I arrived at Cape Chinen Park, I was captivated by the ocean view. The deep blue sea stretched into the distance, while the water and coral reefs created beautiful layers of color. The scenery was truly soothing.

The weather was also perfect that day. With the sunshine, blue sky, and Okinawa's distinctive blue sea, every photo looked good. Standing at the cape with the sea breeze blowing and looking out over the vast ocean, I didn't need to do anything to feel completely immersed in the vacation atmosphere.

If you happen to be traveling around southern Okinawa, I highly recommend stopping by for a walk, enjoying the ocean, taking some photos, and soaking in Okinawa's most captivating shades of blue.

This theme park recreates a traditional Ryukyu village and is a great place to experience Okinawa's traditional culture and rich Ryukyuan atmosphere. There are many cultural activities throughout the park, as well as impressive traditional performances.

I personally liked this place quite a bit, especially the taiko drum show. It was incredibly powerful in person! One of the girls who whistled during the performance had such a commanding and cool stage presence, but as soon as the show ended, she immediately went back to being sweet and cute. The contrast was so interesting!

The weather was wonderful that day, with bright sunshine and blue skies. There were also lots of visitors, making the entire park feel lively and full of energy. It's a place where you can really experience Okinawan culture.

These castle ruins are highly recommended for a visit when traveling in Okinawa! Built using the natural cliff terrain, the castle rises in tiers along the hillside, and the lines of the walls are beautiful. From the top, you can also look out over the vast ocean, and the view is truly wonderful. Like Nakijin Castle in the north, this is one of Okinawa’s most iconic historic castles. Compared with Nakijin Castle, the stones used at the Katsuren Castle Ruins are noticeably larger, and the walls are also very well preserved, making it easier to feel the historical atmosphere of the Ryukyu Kingdom era. As you slowly make your way to the top, the scenery becomes more and more expansive. It’s a spot that combines history, nature, and beautiful views, and it’s well worth adding to your itinerary!
