Before visiting Byodoin Temple, you'll pass through a shopping street full of Kyoto charm. Both sides are lined with many long-established matcha shops, and the faint aroma of tea in the air reminds travelers that they've arrived in Uji. Besides enjoying rich matcha, some shops also offer elegant matcha and wagashi sets where you can experience the pleasure of the tea ceremony yourself.

The sunlight sparkles on the water, and Phoenix Hall is reflected in the pond, gently swaying with the ripples stirred by the breeze. The scenery is very beautiful and makes you stop to admire the exquisite design and aesthetics of ancient Japanese architecture. Don't forget to take out a 10-yen coin and compare the image on it.

Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto is a classic attraction that many people consider a must-visit when they come to Kyoto. The shrine has a long history and primarily enshrines Inari Okami, who is associated with abundant harvests, thriving businesses, and prosperity. As you enter the shrine, you can see many stone fox statues along the way. Foxes are considered messengers of Inari Okami and seem to welcome worshippers at the entrance.
