Hitachi Seaside Park
In spring, the nemophila create a whole field of blue that looks like the sky fell to the ground. It’s even more stunning in person than in photos, and once you’re there, you just can’t stop taking pictures.

The river was unbelievably clear, and with the snowy mountains in the distance, the view was so beautiful it looked like a computer wallpaper.

This was my first time at Kurobe Dam. The mountain scenery around it was gorgeous, and the massive dam gave it that hidden-gem feel Japan does so well. Definitely worth making a special trip for.

I’d been wanting to make a pilgrimage to the Tateyama Kurobe Snow Valley Festival for a long time, and seeing it in person was way more impressive than in photos. The snow walls feel really overwhelming up close, but they’re absolutely stunning.
