The walk from Kappa Bridge to Myojin Pond is fairly long. The forest is dense along the way, and bears are occasionally spotted, so be sure to carry a bear bell or bear spray before setting out. Myojin Pond lies deep within Kamikochi. Its tranquil, mirror-like waters, deadwood, massive rocks, and the reflection of Mount Myojin come together to create a sacred, otherworldly beauty.
Once you arrive, find a quiet corner and take your time soaking in the pure atmosphere of this natural energy spot. Hotaka Shrine Okumiya by the pond is the guardian shrine of Japan's Northern Alps, and even members of the Imperial Family have visited. After praying for blessings, you can get a small, elegantly designed chimaki-shaped amulet to take home and pray for your family's safety and physical and mental well-being.

Slightly Spicy La Yu Chili Oil from Momoya (KARASOUDEKARAKUNAI SUKOSIKARAIRAYU)
A lavish chili oil, known for sparking the edible chili oil trend, packed with the perfect level of spiciness, generously filled with crispy fried garlic and fried onions.
As someone who loves cooking, the thing I look forward to most every time I visit Japan is browsing local supermarkets and discovering all kinds of great seasonings. I happened to find this Momoya chili oil at a supermarket, and after trying it once, I became a loyal customer. It has been a great help in the kitchen.
It looks bright red and very spicy, but it actually isn't that hot. Whether I use it to make wontons in chili oil or simple dry noodles, just a small spoonful instantly fills the entire dish with aroma. Its enticing fragrance is truly different from ordinary chili oil and perfectly enhances the food's flavor.
Besides the chili oil, I also recommend their butter garlic chips series, which is equally excellent. These are both kitchen staples that I quietly stock up on and buy again every time I visit Japan. I sincerely recommend them to anyone who enjoys cooking.

HAKATA DEITOS
Conveniently located next to JR Hakata Station, this commercial facility is in the largest building in Kyushu “JR Hakata City.” On its floors B1, F1 and F2, nearly 60 shops provide tasty food, general goods, fashion, souvenirs, etc.
Directly connected to Hakata Station, DEITOS is an excellent place for travelers to shop for souvenirs and enjoy local food. As soon as you walk in, the dazzling array of shops gives you so much to look at.
It brings together all kinds of delicious local Hakata specialties, from the hugely popular chilled Nunu Chicken and rich, savory mentaiko sauce to Kayanoya dashi packets that make delicious soup, as well as ramen shops ready to satisfy your cravings anytime. The selection is incredibly diverse.
I recommend planning a big shopping trip here on the last day of your journey. Hakata Station is very close to Fukuoka Airport, making transportation extremely convenient, so you don't have to worry about traveling far with lots of bags. You can easily and efficiently stock up on all kinds of fresh Hakata specialties in one place. It's truly a very convenient and thoughtful setup for travelers.

Kabukiage
This fried rice cracker features a crispy texture and a slightly sweet soy sauce-based seasoning. It is a popular, long-selling product that appeals to both children and adults alike.
These Kabukiage rice crackers are one of my favorite things to buy whenever I visit Japan. You can actually find them everywhere at convenience stores and drugstores across Japan.
What appeals to me most is their perfectly balanced savory flavor. When you take a bite, you first notice the subtle aroma of the rice cracker, followed by the soy sauce flavor spreading through your mouth. They're savory without being too salty or greasy, and it's really hard to stop eating them one after another.
Ever since I discovered the large bags at Don Quijote, I've gotten into the habit of picking one up almost every time I visit Japan. Whenever I'm back in Taiwan, I make a cup of hot tea late at night and slowly enjoy that familiar crispy texture. The comforting taste always makes me feel for a moment as if I'm traveling in Japan again. If you also like Japanese rice crackers, this classic treat is definitely worth recommending.
