If you're landing at Narita Airport and want to get to central Tokyo as quickly as possible, buying a Skyliner ticket in advance is definitely the way to go. Since it usually takes about an hour to travel from the airport to central Tokyo, purchasing a discounted ticket online before leaving Taiwan not only gives you a nice discount but also saves you from waiting in line to buy a ticket after you arrive. If you've already planned your independent trip to Tokyo, I recommend getting your ticket ahead of time like I did. It will make getting around throughout your trip much easier and more relaxing.

Narita International Airport
The international airport and gateway to Tokyo, visited by 44 million travelers each year (as of 2019). Opened in 1978, this world-famous airport (airport code NRT) has ferried over 6 million flights both in and out of Japan. The airport grounds include 3 different passenger terminals, a freight terminal and is currently planning to open a new runaway in addition to its two runways currently open.
As the number of times I travel to Japan has increased, Narita Airport has become the airport I fly into and out of most often. This busy international airport has everything you could need, from authentic Japanese food to a dazzling array of souvenirs. It’s sure to meet all your needs and never disappoint.
Every time before boarding my flight home, I can’t resist going on a shopping spree at the airport, and I never pass up the entire row of capsule toy machines either. Perhaps the captivating charm of traveling in Japan lies precisely in these little details filled with surprises and joy.

Fukusaya Nagasaki main store
Castella, a sponge cake brought to Nagasaki in the mid-16th century along with Nanban trade, quickly became a favorite across Japan thanks to its fluffy deliciousness and high nutritional value. It was particularly embraced by students who came to Nagasaki from all over Japan to study medicine and Dutch studies.
As someone who is obsessed with castella, I naturally had to take the opportunity to enjoy Fukusaya, a favorite among Taiwanese people, during this trip to Nagasaki.
Their cake is very soft and fluffy, with just the right amount of sweetness. What impressed me most was the layer of crunchy sugar crystals on the bottom, which added a rich texture with every bite. They also offer small, portable boxes that are perfect not only as souvenirs to share with family and friends, but also as breakfast while traveling. Slowly enjoying it with a cup of hot coffee on the train was truly delightful and delicious.

Kamakura Goro Honten "Kamakura Caramel Sand Dayo"
Released in January 2023, this exclusive treat is available only at Haneda Airport. Kamakura Goro Honten, a confectionery brand with its main store on Komachi Street in Kamakura, created this limited-edition product.
While browsing a department store, I was drawn in by the cute packaging and couldn’t resist buying these Kamakura Goro Honten cookies as a gift. They really made a good impression from the first bite.
What I liked most was that the sweetness was just right, so they didn’t taste overly sweet at all. The cookies had a crisp texture and a simple, pleasant aroma, making every bite easy to enjoy. Whether you give them to friends or keep them for yourself, they’re a refined and distinctive treat that’s hard to go wrong with. If I see them again the next time I’m shopping, I’ll want to buy them again.
