As mentioned above, the biggest appeal of Achi Village is without question its starry sky, said to be the most beautiful in Japan.
Its mountain-ringed landscape, high elevation, and clear air create ideal natural conditions for stargazing, letting you enjoy a sky so full of stars that they seem to be pouring down right before your eyes.
You can see beautiful starry skies throughout the year, but the best season is from July, after the rainy season ends, through fall.
