Last update :

NTT East Corp runs NTT InterCommunication Center (ICC), which was planned in 1990 to commemorate the 100 years of telephone business in Japan and opened in 1997.

This cultural center uses computers and the latest technology to host “media art” exhibitions and events, which combines art, chemistry and technology. Under the theme of communications, the center functions as a hub to promote interactions between artists and scientists. There is an audio visual corner to let you watch from the vast video archives of the center’s curation, the past exhibitions and events.

Artists are invited to give a talk or perform and symposiums are held to discuss various themes. Programs and educational efforts are often arranged, part of which is workshops for children during a summer break.
