Acacia Shinjuku Main Store

Founded in 1963, this long-established Western-style restaurant also has locations at Haneda Airport and in Gotanda. Tucked away in a back alley just a short walk from Shinjuku Station, the main store remains beloved for its retro, welcoming atmosphere, from the exterior to the interior decor, as if time has stood still.

The menu is packed with choices, centered on classic favorites such as omurice, curry rice, and cream croquettes, making it hard to decide what to order. Among them, the creamy Rolled Cabbage Stew, made with rolled cabbage stuffed with a blend of Japanese black wagyu beef and domestic pork, has been the restaurant’s signature dish since it first opened. It is the most popular item on the menu, and many people order the mini size as a set with another dish.

Another highlight here is the wide selection of alcoholic drinks, including Japanese craft beer, German beer, highballs, and cocktails. With the concept of “eat well and drink well,” the food is known not only for pairing perfectly with rice, but also for going exceptionally well with alcohol.
