This hotel preserves and restores the former residence of the Nara Toyosawa Sake Brewery and repurposes it as a place to stay. It is known as a place where time flows gently, combining the rich atmosphere of traditional Japanese architecture with modern comfort.

There are only eight guest rooms in total. From rooms that retain the atmosphere of former storehouses and tea rooms to rooms overlooking the garden, each space is one of a kind. Exposed beams and tokonoma alcoves add to the character unique to a historic building. Dinner is served at a counter-style restaurant renovated from a doma earthen-floor space. You can fully enjoy dishes made with ingredients from Nara paired with sake. The Japanese breakfast featuring Yamato vegetables is also popular.

There are also many sightseeing spots nearby, with Todai-ji Temple and Nara Park about a 25-minute walk away. You can also join a brewery tour at Nara Toyosawa Sake Brewery, making this a place to stay where you can more deeply appreciate the appeal of sake in Nara, the birthplace of Japanese sake.
