Once you make your way onto the Sanjo-dori alley you’ll find a red noren door sign flagging the spot. This 120-year old kominka-style rustic house offers a cozy place to come and relax in a tatami floor setting.

At this spot, the motto is to serve nutritious plates as if a mother were feeding her child. It’s known for menu items like the Cojica Special Simmered Hamburg Steak, made with Yamato Ushi beef and Yamato Pork. The hand-rolled hamburg is finished with a delicious demi-glace sauce and served along side a choice of fluffy black rice or bread, salad or soup, and a cake dessert (or quiche!) that’s sure to make you smile.

The dessert options are so delicious they’re hard to choose, with items like the fluffy pancakes (drink included) that are so soft you’ll be shocked every time you sink a knife or your teeth into them. It’s served with a housemade berry sauce, Nara-made honey, Cojica butter and a thick whipped cream to make your mouth happy.
