MUJI BASE KYOTO kiyomizu

Kiyomizu is a popular sightseeing area in Kyoto's Higashiyama Ward and home to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, a World Heritage Site.
MUJI BASE KYOTO kiyomizu, a MUJI accommodation, opened in the area in May 2026. Most of its amenities, furniture, and appliances are products sold by MUJI. Like MUJI products themselves, this accommodation is simple yet functional.

There are four room types: double rooms, twin rooms, twin rooms with bathtubs, and family rooms. The property has 18 rooms in total.

The hotel is also home to Kiyomizu, a branch of Ogawa Coffee, a long-established Kyoto coffee shop. Hotel guests can use it as a lounge at night and enjoy its breakfast menu.

One of the property's main features is an early-morning Kiyomizu pilgrimage tour exclusively for hotel guests. This paid tour requires a reservation and is led by a dedicated guide along the approach to Kiyomizu-dera Temple and around the temple grounds. More than just a place to stay, the property offers firsthand experiences of local life.
