Kagoshima Ramen Tontoro - Tenmonkan Main Restaurant

Ramen with melt-in-your-mouth texture of char siu pork are very popular.

Last update :

A popular ramen restaurant with long lines of customers even before it opens, it has several branches in the prefecture in addition to its main store in Tenmonkan.

The main ingredient of the signature "Tontoro Ramen" is pork char siu, which is made of the neck part of a pig, and only a small amount of it can be obtained from a single pig.
The pork is slowly simmered in a secret sauce over a long period of time, resulting in a melty & tender texture that once you try it, you will become addicted to its deliciousness.
The rich pork bone broth, which contains chicken bones and bonito extract, and medium-thick noodles with firm texture create an excellent harmony.

You can customize your ramen to your liking by topping it with a half-boiled egg or karashi takana (Chinese mustard greens), the hardness of the noodles, and the flavor of the soup (rich or light) when ordering.
The "Char siu Meshi" and "Kurobuta Toro-gyoza" (black pork dumplings) are just a few of the side dishes that make this a Kagoshima favorite.
