Last update :

This science museum has a permanent display room, planetarium, laboratory, and an observation deck. There is a lot of hands-on equipment fun for adults and children alike. In the neighborhood, Miyamae Park and the banks along Chubetsu River offer nice places for a walk.

The permanent display room is divided into the Space Corner, Earth Corner, and Northern Country Corner. The Space Corner has the equipment to enable you to experience the zero-gravity condition and the moon’s gravity as well as other phenomena and the structure in the space. The Earth Corner comes with the apparatus to let you feel earthquakes and to make clouds or a volcano. The Northern Country Corner allows you to observe snow flake structures and low-temperature experiments.

We especially recommend the latest planetarium which recreates the beauty of seasonal starry night on the dome 18m in diameter. Not only the star projection, but the full dome video projection and the combination of planetarium and concert are also held.
