Last update :

Established in 2010 by the Japan Origami Association—an organization dedicated to preserving and promoting origami, Japan's traditional paper-folding culture—the Tokyo Origami Museum offers exhibits of remarkable origami artwork as well as hands-on classes.

The exhibition area showcases diverse pieces created by origami enthusiasts from Japan and around the world, including notable entries from the annual Origami Carnival, held to commemorate “Origami Day” on November 11. Visitors will undoubtedly be amazed by the creativity and technical skill of the displayed pieces.

Photography of the exhibits is permitted, and since displays regularly rotate, capturing your favorites on camera is highly recommended. On the second floor, regular workshops led by experienced origami instructors are available. Workshop themes vary, covering seasonal motifs or original artistic designs, allowing you to choose classes that match your interests.

The museum also includes an on-site shop, featuring a wide selection of origami-related books and magazines, as well as origami paper and traditional washi paper.
