This is a municipal park built on the grounds of a former lumberyard that stored wood used for construction.
Boasting about 200 cherry trees of the Somei-yoshino variety planted here, this park attracts crowds of visitors in the spring. It’s also popular with photographers who want to shoot the cherry blossoms with the Tokyo Skytree.
With a grassy field perfect for picnics and play equipment for children as well as adult-use exercise equipment and a jogging course, this park can be used by people of many ages. In the summer, there's also a paddling pool where children can play in the water, in addition to a baseball field and tennis courts.
