Taiyaki Kanda Daruma, AKIHABARA

A famous taiyaki shop packing delicious flavor in a crisp exterior

Japanese confectionery

Sitting just steps from Suehirocho Station is a Japanese confectionery made popular for its taiyaki with “wings”. Taiyaki with wings is the standard item here, loved for its scrumptious anko filling and sheet of extra thin dough, which is left flaky and crispy around the taiyaki for you to enjoy all on its own.
The anko filling, made with sweet red beans from Hokkaido’s Tokachi region, has a lightly sweet flavor that anyone can enjoy. There are also custard cream-filled taiyaki to enjoy. When freshly baked there’s a delectably crispy, crunchy texture that’s best eaten immediately while hot.
Sales stop for the day once stock is out so keep an eye on the clock when planning a visit.
