SAKE Bar Hotel Asakusa

A concept hotel in Asakusa where you can experience Japanese culture through alcohol. The five room types feature a Japanese-modern design and incorporate elements of Japanese culture such as folk crafts and masu sake cups. All accommodation plans include breakfast and a free-flow sake service.

The hotel is directly operated by Kikkawa Jozo, a sake brewery founded in 1912 and known for its “af-ri” brand. At check-in, guests receive a masu cup, and can enjoy sake throughout the property, including in the bar lounge, the footbath, and the private open-air bath. In the lounge, light snacks such as oden and daily changing appetizers are served until evening. At night, additional alcoholic drinks such as Japanese beer and whisky are available. After enjoying Asakusa at night, it is also recommended to return to the hotel and relax with a drink.

There are always at least 6 to 8 kinds of sake available, including seasonal varieties. Bottles are also sold, so if you find a label you like, be sure to take one home as a souvenir. Breakfast is rice balls made with carefully selected rice. You can fully enjoy a Japanese atmosphere right up until just before check-out.
