Ganso Shokuhin Sample-ya Kappabashi

A specialty store specializing in ultra-realistic food samples with hands-on production experience.

Last update :

This "original food sample shop" is located in the heart of Kappabashi Tool Street, where kitchenware from professional to home use is available. This store sells unique products made by "Iwasaki Corporation", a long-established manufacturer of food samples displayed in restaurant show windows, using its techniques.

The store offers a wide variety of products that look just like the real thing, with motifs of dishes, sweets, and foodstuffs. The store offers not only key rings and straps that can be attached to everyday items, but also magnets, pen holders, and accessory cases that can be used in everyday life, and these playful products are both fun to look at and practical, making them perfect souvenirs.

On the second floor, the food sample making experience is offered under the guidance of skilled staff. For regular menus using old-fashioned wax, experience is available from first grade elementary school students (first and second grade elementary school students must have a parent or guardian participate at the same time). In total, it takes about 40 minutes to make a sample of tempura and lettuce, including watching a guidance video. Please note that the production experience is conducted in Japanese.
