Mihashi Ueno Main Store
An elegant sweets shop with a variety of traditional, Japanese-style deserts
Established in 1948 in front of Ueno Park, this sweets shop has been loved for many years.
Visitors can enjoy Japanese sweets such as anmitsu (a desert with agar, boiled beans, and fruit covered in brown sugar syrup) and oshiruko (a desert with mochi or rice flour dumplings in a sweet, boiled adzuki bean sauce) in the elegant, Japanese-style dining room.
The shop uses specially-selected ingredients, including adzuki beans produced in Tokachi in Hokkaido and brown sugar made in Okinawa, and the carefully-crafted sweets have a deliciousness that soothes.
